About Kimmi
I believe the willingness to reflect and explore one’s inner experience is a key foundation to healing and change. However, it can be challenging to open up and be vulnerable in beginning this process, and I want to acknowledge the courage it took for you to take this first step toward your healing and personal growth. Through a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship, I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment to foster self-exploration, awareness, and self-compassion. I use an integrative, client-centered approach, and strive to empower all my clients to actively participate in their journey.
I have specialized experience working with eating disorders and body image concerns, having previously worked at an outpatient eating disorder clinic providing treatment and support for individuals struggling with their relationship with food. In addition to my work with eating disorders, I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. I have a particular passion for mental health support for athletes, which has been fostered through my role at the David L. MacIntosh Sport Medicine Clinic at the University of Toronto, where I provide sports-focused psychotherapy services to varsity and high-performance athletes. At Restorative Roots Therapy, I integrate my clinical experience with my personal background in sport to provide tailored, specialized treatment for both current and former athletes.
