About Monique
Taking the first steps into therapy is incredibly courageous. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I am dedicated to providing a safe space to explore the factors shaping your current circumstances. Whether your story includes struggles with eating disorders, body image, low mood, relationship challenges, or identity exploration, I aim to support your healing, help you build effective coping skills, and learn to change unhelpful patterns.
I have experience working with eating disorders and body image concerns in both group and individual settings. With a background as a professional ballet dancer, I also bring a unique perspective to working with athletes and sports-related issues. My years of training and performing have given me deep insight into the physical and mental demands of performance, as well as the importance of mental health and resilience in and outside of sport.
I draw from various therapeutic orientations, including modern psychodynamic approaches, attachment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), to tailor therapy to your needs and goals. I am also trained in art therapy and can incorporate it into our sessions, offering a creative approach to support the therapeutic process.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, I am passionate about creating an inclusive, anti-oppressive space for a diverse range of clients. No matter where you are in your journey, I see you and encourage you to reach out to connect.
